Mexico Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services, and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC declined 1.52%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were:
– Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:TLEVISACPO): rose 3.51% or 0.33 points to trade at 9.73.
– Alsea, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:ALSEA): added 2.57% or 1.36 points to end at 54.33.
– America Movil SAB de CV M (BMV:AMXB): was up 1.13% or 0.18 points to 16.18 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV:PEOLES): fell 7.27% or 21.24 points to trade at 271.11.
– GCC SAB de CV (BMV:GCC): declined 4.02% or 6.18 points to end at 147.58.
– Grupo Comercial Chedraui, SAB De CV (BMV:CHDRAUIB): was down 3.27% or 5.05 points to 149.17.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 148 to 92, and 19 ended unchanged.
Commodities Update
- Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.52% or 14.00 to $2,680.90 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.43% or 0.97 to hit $68.64 a barrel.
- The December Brent oil contract rose 1.28% or 0.91 to trade at $72.00 a barrel.
Currency Update
- USD/MXN was up 0.49% to 19.71.
- EUR/MXN rose 0.24% to 22.00.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 100.15.
