Mexico Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services, and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC fell 1.44%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were:
– Grupo Elektra, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:ELEKTRA): rose 5.33% or 16.64 points to trade at 329.01 at the close.
– Alsea, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:ALSEA): added 1.09% or 0.51 points to end at 47.10.
– Grupo Financiero Inbursa, SAB De CV (BMV:GFINBURO): up 0.73% or 0.35 points to 48.29 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:Q): fell 3.01% or 5.36 points to trade at 172.88.
– Cemex SAB de CV (BMV:CEMEXCPO): declined 2.95% or 0.35 points to end at 11.52.
– Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:GMEXICOB): down 2.84% or 3.08 points to 105.39.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 147 to 80, with 20 ending unchanged.

- EUR/MXN fell 0.65% to 21.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 106.08.
