Mexico Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services, and Consumer Staples sectors led shares down.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC fell 0.66%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were:
– Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:LABB): Rose 3.72% or 0.91 points to trade at 25.37.
– Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:TLEVISACPO): Added 3.12% or 0.28 points to end at 9.25.
– GCC SAB de CV (BMV:GCC): Up 2.78% or 4.35 points to 160.58.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Banco Del Bajio SA Institution De Banca Multiple (BMV:BBAJIOO): Fell 4.16% or 1.85 points to trade at 42.58.
– Wal Mart de Mexico SAB de CV (BMV:WALMEX): Declined 3.88% or 2.39 points to end at 59.15.
– Becle SA (BMV:CUERVO): Down 2.29% or 0.66 points to 28.13.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 123 to 97, with 7 unchanged.
Shares of Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:LABB) rose to 5-year highs, while shares of Banco Del Bajio SA (BMV:BBAJIOO) fell to 52-week lows, and shares of Becle SA (BMV:CUERVO) reached 3-year lows.
Commodity Prices
- Gold Futures for December delivery increased 0.71% or 19.40 to $2,748.80 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for December delivery fell 0.53% or 0.37 to hit $70.00 a barrel.
- Brent oil contract remained unchanged at $74.56 a barrel.
Currency Exchange Rates
- USD/MXN was up 0.10% to 19.81.
- EUR/MXN remained unchanged at 21.45.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 103.88.
