Mexico Stock Market Update

Mexico stocks closed lower on Monday, driven by declines in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services, and Consumer Staples sectors.

At the close, the S&P/BMV IPC fell 0.57%.

  • Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:TLEVISACPO): +2.89% (0.28 points) to 9.96
  • Wal Mart de Mexico SAB de CV (BMV:WALMEX): +2.20% (1.28 points) to 59.41

Worst Performers

  • Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV:PEOLES): -3.96% (10.77 points) to 261.00
  • Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV (BMV:VOLARA): -3.28% (0.42 points) to 12.40
  • Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (BMV:GAPB): -2.51% (8.79 points) to 341.26

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 133 to 95, with 17 ending unchanged.

Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. reached a 52-week high, gaining 3.59% to 16.14.
