Mexico Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Friday, driven by gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services, and Consumer Staples sectors.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC rose 1.81%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC included:
– Orbia Advance Corporation SAB de CV (BMV:ORBIA): up 5.26% or 1.02 points to trade at 20.40.
– Grupo Financiero Inbursa, SAB De CV (BMV:GFINBURO): added 4.53% or 2.07 points to end at 47.73.
– Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:GCARSOA1): up 4.01% or 4.77 points to 123.58.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session included:
– Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:LABB): down 2.56% or 0.59 points to 22.50.
– Cemex SAB de CV (BMV:CEMEXCPO): declined 1.63% or 0.19 points to 11.44.
– Grupo Comercial Chedraui, SAB De CV (BMV:CHDRAUIB): down 0.37% or 0.54 points to 145.14.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange 141 to 72, with 18 ending unchanged.
Commodity Updates
- Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.22% or 5.85 to $2,673.35 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for November delivery rose 1.00% or 0.74 to $74.45 a barrel.
- December Brent oil contract rose 0.55% or 0.43 to trade at $78.05 a barrel.
Currency Updates
- USD/MXN was down 0.28% to 19.29.
- EUR/MXN fell 0.91% to 21.16.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.48% at 102.24.
