Mexico Stocks Review
Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services, and Consumer Staples sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC added 0.53%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were:
– GCC SAB de CV (BMV:GCC): rose 3.48% or 5.61 points to trade at 166.70.
– Alsea, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:ALSEA): added 2.69% or 1.32 points to end at 50.45.
– Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:BIMBOA): up 2.21% or 1.36 points to 62.83 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:GCARSOA1): fell 2.66% or 3.25 points to trade at 118.84.
– Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:ALFAA): declined 2.64% or 0.38 points to end at 14.00.
– Gentera SAB de CV (BMV:GENTERA): down 2.61% or 0.66 points to 24.65.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 122 to 96, and 19 ended unchanged.
Commodities Overview
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.12% or 3.30 to $2,745.90 a troy ounce.
In commodities trading:
– Crude oil for December delivery rose 3.09% or 2.15 to $71.64 a barrel.
– January Brent oil contract rose 2.94% or 2.15 to trade at $75.25 a barrel.
Currency Exchange Rates
- USD/MXN was down 0.81% to 20.10.
- EUR/MXN fell 0.18% to 21.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 103.81.
