MetaMask and Space ID Integration
MetaMask and Space ID have announced an integration aimed at simplifying the process of sending digital assets and accessing crypto wallets.
The new integration enables users to replace all their public wallet addresses with a single, secure, and customizable handle when making transactions on MetaMask. This allows users to enter a simple username instead of a complex, 42-character string of letters and numbers, reducing the risk of losing funds due to mistakes during transactions.
Space ID serves as a web3 domain and identity platform, enabling users to manage their digital assets through a unified interface. This integration follows Space ID's seed funding round led by Binance Labs in 2022.
Christian Montoya, Product Lead at MetaMask, stated that this integration would make it easier and safer for users to send and receive crypto across any EVM-compatible chain. Earlier this year, MetaMask’s developer, Consensys, acquired Wallet Guard, a crypto security application, aiming to enhance the wallet's security.
According to Space ID, users can now organize and store their handles for multiple chains within a single wallet.
