Japan Stock Market Update

Investing.com – Japan stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Manufacturing, Textile, and Electrical/Machinery sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 added 2.01%.

Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (TYO:4519): increased 14.35% or 986.00 points to trade at 7,855.00.
Konica Minolta, Inc. (TYO:4902): went up 5.93% or 35.70 points to end at 637.80.
Kikkoman Corp. (TYO:2801): rose 5.28% or 90.00 points to 1,795.00.

Worst Performers

The worst performers of the session included:
Olympus Corp. (TYO:7733): fell 5.64% or 160.00 points to trade at 2,678.00.
Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. (TYO:7012): declined 3.51% or 203.00 points to end at 5,587.00.

Significant Achievements

Shares in Chugai Pharmaceutical broke all-time highs, while Konica Minolta reached three-year highs.
