Japan Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Japan stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Precision Instruments, Insurance, and Railway & Bus sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 added 0.16%.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 2194 to 1369, with 287 ending unchanged.
Shares in Japan Steel Works Ltd (TYO:5631) rose to 5-year highs; rising 4.12% (222.00) to 5,605.00.
The Nikkei Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Nikkei 225 options, was down 4.13% to 26.70.
Commodities
- Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.07% ($0.05) to $73.66 a barrel.
- Brent oil for December fell 0.05% ($0.04) to $77.58 a barrel.
- December Gold Futures rose 0.20% ($5.35) to $2,684.55 a troy ounce.
Currency Exchange
- USD/JPY was down 0.55% to 146.12.
- EUR/JPY fell 0.54% to 161.21.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 101.60.
