At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.54%.

- Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.00% (1.37) to $69.96 a barrel.
- Brent oil for February delivery rose 1.51% (1.09) to $73.28 a barrel.
- February Gold Futures rose 1.41% (38.26) to trade at $2,756.66 a troy ounce.

- EUR/USD was unchanged at 1.05, while EUR/GBP was also unchanged at 0.82.
