Italy stocks higher at close of trade; Investing.com Italy 40 up 0.30%

Italy Stock Market Update

Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Industrials, and Utilities sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.30%.

The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were:
DiaSorin SpA (BIT:DIAS), which rose 2.63% or 2.70 points to trade at 105.30 at the close.
Recordati (BIT:RECI) added 2.63% or 1.35 points to end at 52.75.
Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) was up 2.20% or 0.49 points to 22.74 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were:
Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR), which fell 1.65% or 0.21 points to trade at 12.49 at the close.
Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) declined 1.08% or 0.02 points to end at 2.02.
STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI) was down 0.89% or 0.25 points to 27.76.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 250 to 217 and 53 ended unchanged.

Shares in DiaSorin SpA (BIT:DIAS) rose to 52-week highs, gaining 2.63% or 2.70 to 105.30. Conversely, shares in Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR) fell to 52-week lows, losing 1.65% or 0.21 to 12.49.

Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.03% or 0.78 to $74.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.06% or 0.83 to hit $77.83 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.50% or 12.65 to trade at $2,540.25 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was down 0.57% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.50% at 100.95.
