Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Technology and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII), which rose 5.50% or 0.31 points to trade at 5.91 at the close. Meanwhile, Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) added 2.36% or 0.13 points to end at 5.81 and Assicurazioni Generali SpA (BIT:GASI) was up 1.70% or 0.46 points to 27.54 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM), which fell 6.30% or 0.79 points to trade at 11.75 at the close. Italgas SpA (BIT:IG) declined 2.11% or 0.12 points to end at 5.55 and ERG (BIT:ERG) was down 1.92% or 0.40 points to 20.38.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 289 to 263 and 41 ended unchanged.
Shares in Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) fell to 52-week lows; falling 6.30% or 0.79 to 11.75.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.28% or 0.19 to $67.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.36% or 0.26 to hit $71.58 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.68% or 18.21 to trade at $2,662.79 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.87% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.62% at 106.49.
