Israel stocks lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 0.09%

Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Communication, Biomed and Technology sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.09%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Shikun & Binui (TASE:SKBN), which rose 5.00% or 63.00 points to trade at 1,322.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) added 2.90% or 79.00 points to end at 2,801.00 and Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) was up 2.70% or 5,490.00 points to 208,490.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd (TASE:ENLT), which fell 2.04% or 123.00 points to trade at 5,915.00 at the close. Melisron (TASE:MLSR) declined 1.85% or 600.00 points to end at 31,800.00 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) was down 1.57% or 1,420.00 points to 88,970.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 238 to 230 and 70 ended unchanged.

Shares in Shikun & Binui (TASE:SKBN) rose to 52-week highs; rising 5.00% or 63.00 to 1,322.00. Shares in Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.90% or 79.00 to 2,801.00. Shares in Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.70% or 5,490.00 to 208,490.00.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.50% or 0.34 to $68.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.46% or 0.33 to hit $72.17 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.58% or 15.59 to trade at $2,665.41 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.48% to 3.65, while EUR/ILS fell 0.56% to 3.82.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.81% at 106.69.
