India Stock Market Update

Shares in HDFC Bank Ltd reached all-time highs; rising 1.85% or 33.80 to 1,860.10. The India VIX, measuring implied volatility of Nifty 50 options, increased by 0.85% to 14.49.

- Gold Futures for February delivery fell 0.15% or 3.89 to $2,664.01 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for January delivery rose 0.63% or 0.44 to hit $70.38 a barrel.
- Brent oil for February rose 0.73% or 0.54 to trade at $74.16 a barrel.
Currency Market
USD/INR increased by 0.07% to 84.74, while EUR/INR fell 0.03% to 88.97. The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 106.49.
