Heroes of Mavia Token Surge
Heroes of Mavia, a blockchain-based mobile strategy game launched in early 2024, has experienced a significant surge in its token price amid upcoming upgrades and expansion plans from its creator, Skrice Studios.
The MAVIA token on Ethereum has increased by 430% over the past week, according to CoinGecko, reaching a price of $0.61. This rise makes it the largest gainer in CoinGecko’s Gaming (GameFi) category during that period.
However, the token’s price had previously fallen dramatically since its launch in February 2024, peaking at $10.59 shortly after release and then plummeting to an all-time low of under a penny just last week. Even with the recent surge, MAVIA is still down 94% from its peak price.
The reason behind this sudden price increase is unclear, as Skrice Studios has not made any significant announcements since the price began to climb on Sunday. However, earlier in the month, the team shared plans for a “GameLink” hub aimed at integrating crypto games across different platforms and blockchain ecosystems, along with enhancements and plans to launch six flagship games—including an optimized version of Heroes of Mavia.
To facilitate these ambitious goals, Skrice has reorganized the Mavia core team to streamline operations and improve collaboration. Following this, MAVIA’s trading volume surged from under $2 million to around $100 million, contributing to a current market cap of $32.1 million, making it the 863rd most valuable cryptocurrency by market cap.
