General Motors Announces End of Cadillac XT4 Production
(Reuters) – General Motors (NYSE:GM) announced on Thursday that it will cease production of the gas-powered Cadillac XT4 in January as part of its transition to electric vehicles at its Kansas plant.
GM is investing $390 million in its Kansas assembly plant to manufacture next-generation Chevrolet Bolt EVs. Additionally, the company plans to discontinue production of the Chevrolet Malibu in the coming weeks.
In May, GM indicated that upon resuming production in 2025, both the Bolt EV and XT4 would be manufactured on the same assembly line. However, it has now decided to focus solely on building Bolt vehicles.
