Scholz Prioritizes Constitutional Court Protection
BERLIN (Reuters) – German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated that protecting Germany's constitutional court from extremists and populists is a key priority for his minority coalition. This comes as he seeks consensus in parliament to advance proposals ahead of pending snap elections.
In his weekly podcast, Scholz outlined his proposals, which include lowering wage tax and increasing child benefits, and expressed his intentions to garner parliamentary support in the weeks to come.
> "It is also important to me to strengthen the Federal Constitutional Court against threats from extremists and populists," he emphasized.
