French finance minister says eyes 2025 budget deficit in 5-5.5% range

France’s Budget Situation

PARIS (Reuters) – French finance minister Eric Lombard stated that France’s budget situation is serious. He aims for a 2025 deficit of 5% to 5.5% of GDP.

Lombard also indicated on France Inter radio that the budget deficit is likely to be around 6.1% in 2024.
