Foxconn to Build Largest Nvidia GB200 Chip Facility

TAIPEI (Reuters) – Foxconn is constructing the world’s largest Nvidia GB200 chip manufacturing facility to address the immense demand for Nvidia’s Blackwell platform, according to a senior executive at the Taiwanese company on Tuesday.

Foxconn, known as the largest contract electronics manufacturer and Apple’s main iPhone assembler, is experiencing benefits from the artificial intelligence boom, as it also produces servers.

Benjamin Ting, Foxconn’s senior vice president for cloud enterprise solutions, emphasized the significance of the partnership with Nvidia. “We’re building the largest GB200 production facility on the planet – I don’t think I can say where now,” Ting remarked at the company’s annual tech day in Taipei.

Ting noted the overwhelming demand for Nvidia’s Blackwell platform, stating, “The demand is awfully huge,” while standing next to Nvidia’s vice president for AI and robotics, Deepu Talla.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang had attended Foxconn’s tech day last year but was unable to participate this year, as noted by Talla.
