Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.75%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 1.95% or 0.08 points to trade at 4.29 at the close. Meanwhile, Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 1.79% or 0.94 points to end at 53.56 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was up 1.61% or 0.40 points to 25.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which fell 0.47% or 0.05 points to trade at 9.62 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 0.45% or 0.20 points to end at 44.52 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) was down 0.43% or 0.03 points to 7.33.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 102 to 75 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) fell to 52-week lows; losing 0.43% or 0.03 to 7.33.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.36% or 0.26 to $71.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.37% or 0.25 to hit $67.75 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.62% or 16.69 to trade at $2,664.31 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.86% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.61% at 106.47.
