Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM), which rose 2.52% or 1.75 points to trade at 71.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 2.38% or 0.22 points to end at 9.63 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was up 2.24% or 0.10 points to 4.39 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 2.47% or 0.35 points to trade at 13.64 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 1.22% or 0.18 points to end at 14.19 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was down 0.67% or 0.03 points to 4.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 108 to 63 and 19 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.62% or 0.46 to $73.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.71% or 0.50 to hit $69.44 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 5.24 to trade at $2,673.14 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 106.18.
