Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Utilities, Oil & Gas and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 3.71% or 0.52 points to trade at 14.54 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 2.19% or 0.31 points to end at 14.23 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 1.39% or 0.25 points to 17.83 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which fell 2.19% or 0.21 points to trade at 9.15 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 1.66% or 0.07 points to end at 3.97 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was down 1.44% or 0.14 points to 9.32.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 96 to 74 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) fell to 3-years lows; losing 1.44% or 0.14 to 9.32.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 1.32% or 0.96 to $73.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.41% or 0.97 to hit $69.72 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.49% or 12.90 to trade at $2,664.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.74% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 107.09.
