Epic Games issued a lifetime ban to professional player Morgan Bamford, known as RepulseGod, for sharing his account to enter the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS).
> Cheating is never a winning strat.
> We took legal action against a player who shared their account to unfairly qualify for FNCS. Now they’re banned from Fortnite tournaments forever and their undeserved prize money was donated to charity.

In addition to the ban, Bamford was required to return all prize money won from Fortnite tournaments. According to Eurogamer, the funds recovered were donated to Child’s Play Charity, which provides video games and tech for children in hospitals.
Bamford also had to issue a public apology through a YouTube video shared on X, acknowledging that “cheating in tournaments ruins the fun for the players who earned their spot in tournaments,” reaffirming he would not cheat again.
Cheating Incident Details
Bamford admitted to sharing his account with a player named Forbes to qualify for the 2023 Fortnite Championship Series grand finals, which had a prize pool of $4 million. He hasn’t disclosed how much prize money he returned.
In a parallel case, it was noted that Elon Musk shared his Diablo 4 account but has faced no serious repercussions.
