Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 3.01%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Consumer Goods and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 3.01%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE:ZELA), which rose 4.23% or 29.50 points to trade at 726.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) added 4.03% or 29.10 points to end at 750.90 and Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NSISb) was up 3.83% or 15.70 points to 425.70 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK), which fell 0.93% or 4.60 points to trade at 490.40 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) declined 0.79% or 1.60 points to end at 201.90 and DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV) was down 0.40% or 6.00 points to 1,504.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 96 to 49 and 12 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.08% or 0.76 to $70.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.90% or 0.67 to hit $74.90 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.12% or 29.90 to trade at $2,704.80 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.72% to 7.17, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.65% at 107.62.
