Virtual Roundtable on Digital Asset Policy

White House officials and crypto industry executives are set to join a virtual roundtable on Monday to discuss digital asset policy, led by pro-crypto Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA).

This meeting follows a previous roundtable in July, which included attended by prominent figures like billionaire Mark Cuban and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. This time, key White House officials—including National Economic Council director Lael Brainard, deputy chief of staff Bruce Reed, and outgoing senior adviser Anita Dunn—are expected to participate, as reported by Politico Pro.

Anita Dunn, who recently announced her departure from the Biden administration to advise a major pro-Kamala Harris super PAC, previously attended the July roundtable as an engaged participant, impressing industry leaders with her active involvement. CEO Sheila Warren of the Crypto Council for Innovation remarked on Dunn’s level of engagement during the meeting, highlighting that it was uncommon for a government official at her level.

While Harris campaign officials are invited to the upcoming meeting, it remains uncertain if anyone will represent the campaign. Notably, no other lawmakers besides Khanna are anticipated to attend this virtual roundtable.
