Meeting in Beijing
SHANGHAI (Reuters) – People’s Bank of China Governor Pan Gongsheng met with Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey on Saturday to discuss financial stability and cooperation, as announced by China’s central bank on Sunday.
Pan also held discussions with top executives from HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank, and London Stock Exchange on Friday, according to the PBOC.
These meetings coincided with British Finance Minister Rachel Reeves’ two-day visit to China aimed at reviving high-level economic and financial dialogues that have been stagnant for nearly six years.
