(Reuters) – Chevron Corp (NYSE:CVX) announced on Monday the transportation of nonessential personnel from their Gulf of Mexico facilities due to a tropical disturbance in the region.

The company stated, "There has been no effect to production at these platforms due to the tropical weather."
