ChatGPT Outage

Investing.com– ChatGPT experienced an outage on Wednesday morning as users from across the globe reported an inability to log into the artificial intelligence tool.

OpenAI acknowledged the outage in a post on social media site X, stating that they were working on rectifying the issue.

Downdetector indicated that ChatGPT and OpenAI websites were facing issues, with the majority of user reports concerning ChatGPT.

Additionally, the company's recently released Sora AI model, which allows users to generate video from text prompts, also appeared to be affected by the outage.

Recent data showed ChatGPT has an average of 123 million daily active users and is one of the most popular generative AI applications.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)-backed OpenAI released the tool in late 2022, where it gained over a million users within a day.

ChatGPT’s outage coincides with similar issues affecting Meta’s Instagram and WhatsApp.
