Canada Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Canada stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Staples, and Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Toronto, the S&P/TSX Composite lost 0.09%.

The best performers of the session on the S&P/TSX Composite were:
– Celestica Inc. (TSX:CLS): up 18.27% or 14.52 points to trade at 93.99 at the close.
– Mullen Group Ltd (TSX:MTL): added 9.30% or 1.32 points to end at 15.51.
– CES Energy Solutions Corp (TSX:CEU): rose 5.45% or 0.40 points to 7.74.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Teck Resources Ltd B (TSX:TECKb): fell 5.44% or 3.73 points to 64.85.
– Boyd Group Services Inc (TSX:BYD): declined 3.26% or 7.10 points to 210.75.

Shares in Celestica Inc. (TSX:CLS) rose to 5-year highs; up 18.27% or 14.52 to 93.99.
The S&P/TSX 60 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of S&P/TSX Composite options, was down 6.24% to 11.11.
