Brazil Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Financials, and Electric Power sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa fell 0.19%.
Best Performers
- Hypera SA (BVMF:HYPE3): rose 7.45% or 1.95 points to trade at 28.11 at the close.
- Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF:VAMO3): added 2.98% or 0.18 points to end at 6.23.
- Companhia Brasileira De Distribuica (BVMF:PCAR3): up 2.55% or 0.08 points to 3.22 in late trade.
Worst Performers
- Azul SA Pref (BVMF:AZUL4): fell 5.70% or 0.34 points to trade at 5.63 at the close.
- Ez Tec SA (BVMF:EZTC3): declined 4.21% or 0.59 points to end at 13.41.
- MRV Engenharia e Participacoes SA (BVMF:MRVE3): down 3.91% or 0.28 points to 6.88.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 578 to 370, with 50 ending unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil ETF Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 1.54% to 28.71.
Commodity Prices
- Gold Futures for December delivery: up 0.85% or 23.35 to $2,762.25 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for delivery in December: rose 2.04% or 1.43 to hit $71.47 a barrel.
- US coffee C contract for December: fell 1.11% or 2.80 to trade at $248.90.
Currency Exchange
- USD/BRL was unchanged 0.03% to 5.69.
- EUR/BRL fell 0.11% to 6.15.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 103.90.
