Brazil Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, led by gains in the Industrials, Consumption, and Financials sectors.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa added 0.68%.
Best Performers
- 3R Petroleum Oleo E Gas Sa (BVMF:BRAV3): rose 9.05% or 1.75 points to trade at 21.08.
- Caixa Seguridade Participacoes SA (BVMF:CXSE3): added 4.55% or 0.65 points to end at 14.95.
- Ambev SA (BVMF:ABEV3): up 4.53% or 0.60 points to 13.85 in late trade.
Worst Performers
- Pet Center Comercio e Participacoes (BVMF:PETZ3): fell 4.09% or 0.18 points to trade at 4.22.
- Embraer SA (BVMF:EMBR3): declined 2.66% or 1.53 points to end at 56.08.
- Ez Tec SA (BVMF:EZTC3): down 2.53% or 0.31 points to 11.93.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 565 to 412 with 56 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ez Tec SA (BVMF:EZTC3) fell to 52-week lows, down 2.53% or 0.31 to 11.93.
The CBOE Brazil ETF Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, decreased by 5.29% to 32.03.
Commodity Prices
- Gold Futures for February delivery: up 0.26% or 6.91 to $2,665.41 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for January delivery: rose 2.70% or 1.84 to hit $69.94 a barrel.
- March US coffee C contract: fell 0.03% or 0.08 to trade at $295.97.
Currency Exchange Rates
- USD/BRL: down 0.22% to 6.04.
- EUR/BRL: fell 0.14% to 6.35.
- US Dollar Index Futures: down 0.09% at 106.32.
