Brazil Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Real Estate, Basic Materials, and Public Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in São Paulo, the Bovespa rose 0.14%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were:
– Natura & Co SA (BVMF:NTCO3): rose 2.63% or 0.39 points to trade at 15.23 at the close.
– 3R Petroleum Oleo E Gas SA (BVMF:BRAV3): added 2.39% or 0.43 points to end at 18.39.
– Hypera SA (BVMF:HYPE3): up 2.05% or 0.55 points to 27.35 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Atacadao SA (BVMF:CRFB3): fell 5.27% or 0.44 points to trade at 7.91 at the close.
– Sendas Distribuidora SA (BVMF:ASAI3): declined 2.87% or 0.20 points to end at 6.77.
– Pet Center Comercio e Participacoes (BVMF:PETZ3): down 2.63% or 0.13 points to 4.81.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 518 to 421, with 64 ending unchanged.
Shares in Atacadao SA (BVMF:CRFB3) fell to all-time lows; down 5.27% or 0.44 to 7.91.
The CBOE Brazil ETF Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 5.47% to 31.63, marking a new 1-month high.
Commodities Update
- Gold Futures for December delivery were down 0.21% or 5.50 to $2,662.30 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for delivery in November rose 3.90% or 2.90 to hit $77.28 a barrel.
- The December US coffee C contract fell 4.08% or 10.50 to trade at $246.85.
Currency Exchange Rates
- USD/BRL was up 0.62% to 5.49.
- EUR/BRL fell 0.38% to 6.02.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 102.26.
