Japanese Banks Warned of Increased Risks
TOKYO (Reuters) – Japanese banks need to beware of various risks as global financial market volatility has risen due to trade policy uncertainties, the Bank of Japan (BOJ) said on Wednesday.
The BOJ noted in its report on the financial system, “Japan’s financial system has been maintaining stability overall.” However, it pointed out that since the start of April, financial markets, both domestically and abroad, have shown significant fluctuations due to uncertainty surrounding trade, other economic policies, and geopolitical concerns.
The BOJ emphasized, “Financial institutions need to be vigilant against the materialization of various risks.”
