Boeing Explores Sale of Jeppesen Navigation Unit
(Reuters) – Boeing (NYSE: BA) is exploring a possible $6 billion sale of its Jeppesen navigation unit, according to a report by Bloomberg News on Friday.
The planemaker is currently working with an adviser regarding the potential sale of this unit, which provides interactive flight plans.
Interest in Jeppesen is already growing, with both private equity firms and other companies potentially looking to make a bid. The unit could sell for more than $6 billion, as reported.
Boeing did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Reuters. In afternoon trading, Boeing's shares rose by 0.3%.
