Bitcoin Surpasses Amazon in Market Cap
Bitcoin, the leading cryptocurrency by market cap, briefly surpassed tech behemoth Amazon earlier today.
The market cap of Bitcoin peaked at a staggering $2.36 trillion today, reaching its all-time high of $118,667 per coin, according to CoinGecko data.
Bitcoin briefly became the fifth-largest asset by market cap, now aiming to surpass Apple, which has a valuation of $3.16 trillion. To achieve this, Bitcoin would need to surge to approximately $159,000 per coin (assuming Apple’s valuation remains stable).
Currently, Microsoft holds the title of the second most valuable company with a market cap of $3.7 trillion. Nvidia, the most valuable company due to its dominance in AI chips, has recently reached a market cap of $4 trillion and some analysts predict it could reach $4-$5 trillion in the near future.
Gold remains the most valuable asset, with a market cap of $22.6 trillion.
