Belgium Stock Market Report

Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology, and Industrials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 declined 2.05% to hit a new 1-month low.

Best Performers

The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were:
Argen-X (EBR:ARGX): fell 0.14% or 0.80 points to trade at 558.20 at the close.
D’Ieteren NV (EBR:IETB): fell 0.60% or 1.20 points to end at 197.50.
Ageas (EBR:AGES): down 1.04% or 0.50 points to 47.78 in late trade.

Worst Performers

The worst performers of the session were:
Syensqo SA (EBR:SYENS): fell 4.68% or 3.71 points to trade at 75.53 at the close.
Azelis Corporate Services NV (EBR:AZE): declined 4.31% or 0.85 points to end at 18.86.
Solvay SA (EBR:SOLB): down 4.29% or 1.42 points to 31.71.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 87 to 14, and 13 ended unchanged.

Commodities Update

  • Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.54% or 14.10 to $2,603.60 a troy ounce.
  • Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.54% or 0.37 to hit $68.41 a barrel.
  • January Brent oil contract rose 0.50% or 0.36 to trade at $72.19 a barrel.

Currency Exchange

  • EUR/USD was down 0.54% to 1.06.
  • EUR/GBP unchanged at 0.83.
  • US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.58% at 106.07.
