Belgium Stock Market Update

Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Monday, with losses in the Consumer Goods, Utilities, and Consumer Services sectors leading shares lower.

At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 lost 0.65%.

Best Performers

The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were:
– Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG): rose 0.72% or 0.20 points to trade at 28.10 at the close.
– Umicore SA (EBR:UMI): added 0.56% or 0.06 points to end at 10.70.
– Argen-X (EBR:ARGX): up 0.55% or 2.80 points to 512.20 in late trade.

Worst Performers

The worst performers of the session were:
– Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR:WDPP): fell 3.31% or 0.74 points to trade at 21.60.
– Elia (EBR:ELI): declined 2.15% or 2.10 points to end at 95.40.
– Sofina (EBR:SOF): down 1.84% or 4.40 points to 234.60.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 63 to 33, with 12 ending unchanged.

Shares in Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA fell to 3-year lows, while shares in Argen-X rose to all-time highs.

Commodities Update

• Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.19% or 5.30 to $2,735.30 a troy ounce.
• Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.88% or 1.29 to hit $69.98 a barrel.
• December Brent oil contract rose 1.66% or 1.21 to trade at $74.27 a barrel.

Currency Update

• EUR/USD was unchanged 0.41% to 1.08.
• EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
• The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 103.75.
