Belgium Stocks Close Lower
Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 lost 0.40%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were:
– UCB SA (EBR:UCB): rose 0.96% or 1.70 points to trade at 179.70.
– Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG): added 0.60% or 0.16 points to end at 26.84.
– Syensqo SA (EBR:SYENS): up 0.20% or 0.15 points to 73.39 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Elia (EBR:ELI): fell 3.65% or 3.40 points to trade at 89.85.
– Cofinimmo SA (EBR:COFB): declined 2.29% or 1.40 points to end at 59.80.
– Aperam SA (AS:APAM): down 1.64% or 0.42 points to 25.22.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 67 to 34, with 12 ending unchanged.
Shares in UCB SA rose to all-time highs, increasing by 0.96% or 1.70 to 179.70.
Commodities Market
- Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.01% or 27.80 to $2,783.70 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.34% or 0.23 to hit $67.15 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.46% or 0.33 to trade at $70.67 a barrel.
Currency Market
- EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.08.
- EUR/GBP unchanged 0.31% to 0.83.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 104.22.
