Belgium Stock Market Update

Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Technology, and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 0.58%.

• Melexis NV (EBR:MLXS): +2.39% (1.35 points) to end at 57.80
• Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG): +2.17% (0.56 points) to 26.38 in late trade.

Worst Performers

• UCB SA (EBR:UCB): -2.57% (4.70 points) to trade at 178.00
• Syensqo SA (EBR:SYENS): -1.00% (0.76 points) to end at 75.09
• Solvay SA (EBR:SOLB): -0.32% (0.10 points) to 31.41.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 64 to 33 and 9 ended unchanged.

Commodities Update

• Gold Futures for December delivery: -0.29% (7.45) to $2,579.05 a troy ounce.
• Crude oil for December: +0.25% (0.17) to $68.60 a barrel.
• January Brent oil contract: +0.29% (0.21) to trade at $72.49 a barrel.

Currency Update

• EUR/USD was unchanged at 1.06.
• EUR/GBP was unchanged at 0.83.
• The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 106.50.
