    Australia Stock Market Update

    Australia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, driven by gains in the Healthcare, Consumer Discretionary, and Industrials sectors.

    At the close in Sydney, the S&P/ASX 200 added 0.56%, hitting a new all-time high.

    Best Performers

    • Metcash Ltd (ASX:MTS): +7.52% (+0.24 points) to 3.43
    • Omni Bridgeway Ltd (ASX:OBL): +6.31% (+0.07 points) to 1.10
    • Nuix Ltd (ASX:NXL): +5.25% (+0.33 points) to 6.61

    Worst Performers

    • Webjet Ltd (ASX:WEB): -3.57% (-0.18 points) to 4.86
    • Collins Foods Ltd (ASX:CKF): -3.36% (-0.29 points) to 8.33
    • Northern Star Resources Ltd (ASX:NST): -3.13% (-0.52 points) to 16.07

    Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Sydney Stock Exchange with 579 advancing, 517 declining, and 403 unchanged.

    The S&P/ASX 200 VIX, which tracks the implied volatility of S&P/ASX 200 options, decreased by 1.04% to 10.52.

    Commodities Update

    • Gold Futures (February delivery) rose 0.14% (+3.61) to $2,662.11 per troy ounce.
    • Crude Oil (January delivery) increased by 0.10% (+0.07) to $68.17 per barrel.
    • Brent oil (February contract) rose by 0.18% (+0.13) to $71.96 per barrel.

    AUD/USD was unchanged at 0.65, while AUD/JPY increased by 0.27% to 97.14.

    The US Dollar Index Futures rose by 0.10% to 106.53.
