ASML CEO Optimistic About AI Chip Market
AMSTERDAM (Reuters) – ASML (AS:ASML) CEO Christophe Fouquet stated on Thursday that the ongoing boom in AI computer chips would benefit ASML by increasing the demand for advanced logic and memory chips, leading to higher sales of the company’s top tools.
During the investor day in Veldhoven, Netherlands, Fouquet projected that the chip market would grow by 9% annually until 2025, surpassing the $1 trillion threshold by around 2030.
> "When it comes to 2030, we are still very, very bullish," he remarked.
Fouquet indicated that AI and related memory chips will represent about 40% of the total market. Earlier on Thursday, ASML announced an expected sales increase of approximately 8-14% each year until 2030.
