Leadership Change at Aptos Labs

Aptos Labs Co-Founder and CEO Mo Shaikh has stepped down to “start a new chapter,” he announced on X.

Avery Ching, co-founder and CTO, will take over as CEO to guide the company into its next phase of growth. Shaikh stated that Ching will focus on technological innovation and improving product delivery to enhance the Aptos ecosystem.

Shaikh expressed confidence in the team’s ability to execute their vision, stating, “Today I am stepping away from Aptos Labs to start a new chapter.” He has a passion for building companies from scratch, which he has accomplished alongside his team at Aptos Labs.

In 2022, Shaikh was involved in a lawsuit concerning an alleged conspiracy involving an early-stage investor’s equity.

Aptos Labs specializes in developing the Layer 1 blockchain Aptos. Recently, they welcomed former Grayscale Investments CEO Michael Sonnenshein and OpenAI’s Chief Product Officer Kevin Weil to their advisory board.
