Aptos Foundation Collaborates with FLock.io

The Aptos Foundation is partnering with decentralized AI platform FLock.io to develop AI tools aimed at simplifying coding in the Aptos network's unique programming language, Move.

FLock.io has created a specialized large language model specifically optimized for Move. Preliminary tests show that FLock.io's LLM outperformed top models like ChatGPT-4o in generating Move-specific code, demonstrating significant improvements in accuracy and readability.

Since the advent of the “AI era,” developers have increasingly turned to chatbots, such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Anthropic’s Claude, to enhance their coding capabilities. It has become common for crypto developers to utilize these platforms not only for writing smart contracts but also for performing audits.

The Move programming language was initially developed by Meta for the Diem stablecoin project (when the company was known as Facebook) and the Libra blockchain project. Move is often considered easier to use than Ethereum’s Solidity. However, being a relatively new language, it has not yet gained widespread adoption. Bashar Lazaar, head of grants and ecosystem at Aptos Foundation, noted that “Move’s adoption could be daunting without the right tools.” Move is also utilized by competing smart contract networks such as Sui and Movement.

FLock.io CEO Jiahao Sun emphasized, “By focusing on Move, we’re not just enhancing a programming language; we’re empowering developers with tools that simplify complex blockchain operations, making them more secure and efficient.”
