Accountable.us Alleges Trump Family-Linked Company Sold Tokens to Sanctioned Entities

Accountable.us, a Washington D.C.-based watchdog, has accused the Trump family-linked World Liberty Financial of selling WLFI tokens to sanctioned entities linked to North Korea, Iran, and Russia.

Russian and Iranian Connections Alleged

According to the report titled “American Sell-Out,” some transactions involved a trader identified as Shryder.eth, who purchased 600,000 WLFI tokens on the day of Donald Trump’s inauguration. This transaction was completed with a trader whose wallets were previously blocked by Uniswap for illegal behavior.

Additionally, the company was implicated in the sale of nearly 3,500 WLFI tokens to a crypto trader on the Iranian exchange Nobitex, which U.S. officials accuse of aiding Iranian entities to evade sanctions.

Post-inauguration transactions allegedly included dealings with a user utilizing a Russian-backed sanctions evasion tool. The report detailed that since February 2, 2025, World Liberty Financial sold over 10,000 WLFI tokens to user 0x9009, associated with the A7A5 crypto token, linked to sanctioned individuals by the U.S. Government in August 2025.

Furthermore, the report noted that World Liberty Financial sold tokens to 62 users who had interacted with Tornado Cash, a crypto mixing platform sanctioned in 2022 but had its sanctions lifted by the Trump administration in March of this year.

Although the report indicated that World Liberty Financial later blocked 272 wallets, with five being blacklisted for high-risk exposure, it raised questions about the delayed action against designated entities, suggesting potential efforts to shield the company from repercussions.

The report concluded, “Given the late hour of this disclosure, Americans must ask whether this effort was done to comply with the law, or to cover for sales to potential bad actors over the previous year.”
