At the close in London, the Investing.com United Kingdom 100 added 0.22%.

Conversely, the worst performers were:

- Crude oil for November increased by 3.08% or 2.29 to $76.67 a barrel.
- The December Brent oil contract rose by 2.92% or 2.28 to trade at $80.33 a barrel.
Currency Exchange Rates
- GBP/USD was unchanged at 1.31.
- EUR/GBP also remained stable at 0.84.
- The US Dollar Index Futures dipped by 0.06% to 102.22.
