Poland Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, with gains in the Information Technology, Media, and Construction sectors leading shares upward.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose by 0.13%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 included:
– Dino Polska SA (WA:DNP): up 5.85% or 19.90 points to trade at 359.90 at the close.
– Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP): increased by 5.30% or 4.45 points to end at 88.35.
– Eurocash SA (WA:EUR): rose 4.39% or 0.41 points to 9.74 in late trade.
Worst Performers
Conversely, the worst performers of the session included:
– Enea SA (WA:ENAE): fell 5.66% or 0.62 points to close at 10.34.
– Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS): declined 3.63% or 0.46 points to end at 12.07.
– Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN): down 2.98% or 1.72 points to 55.98.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 289 to 209, with 102 stocks ending unchanged.
Commodities Update
Crude oil for November delivery was up 3.27% or 2.43 to $76.81 a barrel. In commodities trading, Brent oil for December rose 3.10% or 2.42 to hit $80.47 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract increased by 0.01% or 0.25 to trade at $2,668.05 a troy ounce.
Currency Update
- EUR/PLN was up 0.27% to 4.32.
- USD/PLN rose 0.26% to 3.94.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 102.22.
