CAMP4 Therapeutics IPO Target
(Reuters) – CAMP4 Therapeutics, a biopharmaceutical company backed by healthcare giant Kaiser Permanente, announced on Monday its goal to achieve a valuation of up to $283 million in its upcoming initial public offering (IPO) in the United States.
The company plans to join a growing number of biotech firms that have recently gone public as a long-awaited policy-easing cycle begins. Startups aim to position themselves ahead of potential uncertainties arising from next month’s U.S. presidential election.
CAMP4 is looking to raise up to $80 million through the sale of 5 million shares, priced between $14 and $16 each.
Based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, CAMP4 develops therapies for a wide array of genetic diseases. Its primary product candidate, CMP-CPS-001, is being investigated in an early-stage clinical trial targeting prevalent urea cycle disorders.
The company is led by Josh Mandel-Brehm, who has prior experience with Biogen (NASDAQ:BIIB) and Sanofi (NASDAQ:SNY).
CAMP4 intends to list on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol “CAMP”. The underwriters for the IPO include J.P. Morgan, Leerink Partners, Piper Sandler, and William Blair.
