Dell Technologies Updates Work Policy

By Jaspreet Singh

(Reuters) – Dell Technologies (NYSE:DELL) announced that its global sales team members must work from the office five days a week starting September 30, as per a memo seen by Reuters.

The decision aims to promote a collaborative environment and enhance skills, stating that remote work should be the exception, not the norm. Sales team representatives are expected to engage with customers and partners during the week or work from the office. Previously, the requirement was three days in-office.

Remote workers unable to go to a Dell office may continue working remotely. The company will share further details on policies for remote workers in the coming weeks.

Since the pandemic, many firms have allowed remote work, but some tech companies are starting to demand a return to the office. Last week, Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) announced a similar five-day office policy starting next year, tightening its previous three-day requirement.
