Tonkeeper Adds HMSTR Support

The TON ecosystem’s non-custodial wallet, Tonkeeper, has integrated support for HMSTR, a new token from the popular Telegram-based web3 game Hamster Kombat.

This addition will enable users to pay TON transaction fees using HMSTR throughTonkeeper’s Battery feature. According to Daniel Cawrey, Chief Strategy Officer at Tonkeeper, this feature is designed to facilitate transactions without complicating the user interface. Cawrey explained, “When a user is airdropped the HMSTR, they have no TON. Battery is the solution for that. You can top up the Tonkeeper Battery with crypto on TON and also using the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.” He also mentioned that most Tonkeeper users are on Android, but this feature will be available from October 1 when HMSTR airdrop loads decrease.

As of September 25, Tonkeeper has recorded 34 million monthly active users and 8 million daily active users.

In the game Hamster Kombat, players are challenged to run a cryptocurrency exchange where they earn crypto by tapping on images of hamsters. As of August 6, the game has gained 300 million users.

The developers have scheduled the first airdrop for September 26, aiming to allocate 60% of the tokens to players, as previously reported by The Block.
