SunPump Surpasses PumpFun in Memecoin Revenue
SunPump, a Tron TRX-based memecoin generator, has outperformed PumpFun in 24-hour revenue as it gains popularity.
On Wednesday, SunPump launched approximately 7,531 tokens through the generator, generating a daily revenue of 3.65 million TRX, equivalent to about $548,000 based on the current price of TRX, according to data from Dune.
This figure surpassed PumpFun’s daily revenue of 2,575 SOL, valued at around $367,195. For PumpFun, about 6,941 tokens were created on Wednesday.
Launched last week, SunPump has been utilized to generate various memecoins, some of which have experienced significant price fluctuations. For instance, Sundog surged 25% to around $0.25 but later fell to $0.21, a 12.6% drop over the past 24 hours, according to CoinGecko. The memecoin’s market capitalization currently stands at $216 million after briefly exceeding $250 million on Wednesday.
In contrast, PumpFun has facilitated the creation of over 1.8 million tokens since its launch in January.
Justin Sun, the founder of Tron, has been actively promoting SunPump on social media, including a link in his bio. He announced, “Tomorrow, a new version of @sunpumpmeme will be launched, significantly improving stability. The data discrepancies and K-line issues everyone reported will also be fully resolved. TO THE SUN.”
Despite the excitement around SunPump, the price of Tron’s TRX token fell 4.25% over the past 24 hours, trading at $0.15. However, it has seen a 15.56% increase over the past week, with a market cap of $13.3 billion.
